My Confession

Today my evil sister convinced me to do something that I wasn't going to do for another month or so. I bought my first baby item. No, I'm not gonna put up a post about everything I buy for the baby....but since this is the first thing I buy, give me a little break. Anyway, back to my story...I drop Cel off at work and she convinces me to buy baby pumas....anything for a sale right?. But look at how cute!!! Oh by the way, if I find out I'm having a girl I'm gonna go exchange them for the pink ones.

Blood Extraction

I HATE DRAWING BLOOD!!! It's seriously the worst feeling in the world (...in all fairness, I haven't gone through labor yet)! Last time they took out 4 TUBES!!!!! What the heck? How much do they think I have to spare? Well, today I had another appointment, thankfully this time only one tube was needed, but the lady was brutal! I think she enjoyed stabbing my arm as if I were some kind of rodent trying to escape death. Yes, I even saw her grin...quite the monster! Anyway, just wanted to share my pain in the hopes that I will receive at least a little sympathy. On a lighter note, I scheduled my ultrasound for May 12! YAY!!! Hopefully they'll be able to see if it's a boy or a girl (and get it right). I'm so impatient!

Update on the last (almost) 4 months.

Month 1: Starts out with nothing out of the ordinary.....as far as I know. After about 3 weeks...."OH MY GOD!!! I'm pregnant!!! Yikes! Cool! Yikes!"

Month 2: Hungry, tired, hungry, TIRED!!!!

Month 3: Hungry, tired, TIRED, GRUMPY!!!

Month 4: Hungry, hungry, not so tired (YAY!!!), HUNGRY but food is of the devil so I've lost weight since my last prenatal appointment...uh oh!, still HUNGRY, don't want to work, GRUMPY! (We'll see how the last week of this month goes).

And that leaves us where we are now....15 weeks preggers and still hungry which is probably why I get grumpy. Most of the time I can't eat meat, chicken, fish or eggs. I live off of anything with cheese. Cheesebread, cheese sticks, cheese sandwiches, cheese pizza or cheese noodles. Oh....also avocado with vinegar and salt. OOH! And a salad with tomato, lettuce, cucumbers, olives, avocado, broccoli and of course, queijo minas (YES! There's a Brazilian store near DC that sells it). Speaking of which, I've gotta get me some more. Ummm, ok enough food.

My tummy is sticking out a whole bunch (for me at least)....which is kinda embarrassing cuz' it just looks fat to those who don't know I'm pg. Most everyone at work is starting to find out and so far people have been nice about it and I haven't gotten any "stink eyes". Anyhooo, I'm not going to Colombia anymore in June because my bosses thought it would be safer for me and the baby if we stayed home. I guess in a way it's kinda too bad cuz' it's always cool to go to a different country, but at the same time I'm kinda glad as it would be LOTS of work and quite stressful.

I'm hoping for a girl, but if it's a boy...on the bright side, we already have a name picked out and Andre and I can't agree on a girls name for the life of us. Oh well, I guess we still have time for that.
